Many people say London is a multicultural city, where you can never get bored. It’s also very exciting when it comes to street fashion. If you are a fashion freakfreakfreak you will love Camden Town market. It was opened in 1972 and is best known for its unusual fashion and popularity with punks. Punks were young people who didn’t like the governmentgovernmentgovernment or popular fashion. They created their own loud music and cheap, street fashion with torntorntorn clothes and safety pinssafety pins [safety pin]safety pins.
Camden is a great place to buy clothes that will make you stand outstand outstand out from the crowdcrowdcrowd. Hundreds of stallsstalls [stall]stalls with cotton t‑shirts and hoodieshoodies [hoodie]hoodies with exciting prints, jackets full of safety pins, nylon stockingsstockings [stocking]stockings in vibrantvibrantvibrant colours, drainpipe jeansdrainpipe jeansdrainpipe jeans with holesholes [hole]holes, leatherleatherleatherbootsboots [boot]boots with studsstuds [stud]studs are all there waiting for fashion lovers. A great tourist attraction is a three‑storeythree‑storeythree‑storey clothes shop called Cyberdog. It has exciting, neon flashingflashingflashing clothes for every cyber‑party, live club music with DJs and dancers wearing wild, unusual costumes.
If you are not into shopping you can sit back in one of the cafes or restaurants and watch the colourful buildings and even more colourful crowds. Some people like off the pegoff the pegoff the peg clothes which are sold in every shop but Camden fashion freaks just love to stand out! They prefer punk or goth styles and often have original hairstyles. Their spiky hairspiky hairspiky hair comes in all colours possible. Their trousers can be very different - from skinnyskinnyskinny to really baggybaggybaggy. They can wear chinoschinoschinos, shorts or even colourful tightstightstights.
Here everything is possible - a woollenwoollenwoollenjumperjumperjumper worn with a tank toptank toptank top full of holes, colourful swimming trunksswimming trunksswimming trunks and slippers? Why not? All styles are welcome! Camden has everything but boredomboredomboredom.
