The flat, locatedlocatedlocated on the 8th floor of the 10‑storey building, was incredibly noisy at night. The windows were quite new, but of poor quality. Not only was the noise coming from the busy street outside annoying, the neighboursneighbours [neighbour]neighbours were noisy, too! It was the third night in a rowrowrow which they were spending on partying, and unfortunately the walls were pitifullypitifullypitifully thin. And her roommate turned out to be a night owlnight owl (idiom)night owl, always staying up at nightstaying up at night [stay up at night]staying up at night, studying or watching something on her laptop. She started missing her old room, with the soft carpetcarpetcarpet on the floor where she used to play with her dolls as a kid. She had quite a collection of them, all sitting in an even row on her bookshelf. She painted the walls herself last year and, even though she didn't do a perfect job of it, she was proud of the outcomeoutcomeoutcome. And there was the desk of course, the one at which she spent so many hours studying or writing in her diary... or, of course, playing computer games... She was missing the rest of her house too, the garden with the tall fencefencefence, and all the hiding placeshiding places [hiding place]hiding places behind the trees and bushes where she played as a little kid.
