Sometimes we love the presents we get. Sometimes we don’t like them at all. What to do when you want to return a presentreturn a present?
Sometimes you get presents with a receiptreceipt. Usually, it happensit happens when we get clothes or shoes. Sometimes we don't like the colour, or the sizesize may be wrong. Many gift–giversgift–givers understand that. If you have a receipt, you can return the present to the shop. First, check the return systemreturn system. Sometimes you only have a short time to return something! Then pack your itempack your item with all the tagstags, accessoriesaccessories, and original boxoriginal box. Finally, bring it to the shop and ask to return it. Many shops acceptaccept it and give you cashcash or a special shop card which you can use for shopping. You can often exchangeexchange your itemitem for the right size or a different colour, too!
What if you don’t have a receipt? In this caseIn this case, you have to talk to the gift–giver. Remember to be politepolite when you ask them about the present. You should be gratefulgrateful for the item, even if you don’t like it. Ask the gift‑giver to give you the receipt or ask him or her to exchange the item for you. Many people are fine withare fine with this. You just need to be nice!
What if you can’t ask the gift–giver for the receipt? Sometimes the best idea is to keep the presentkeep the present. Maybe it’s not your favourite item, but it can still be usefuluseful.
