The hustle and bustle of city life takes its toll on the residents of big agglomerations. Tired of their daily errands, they seek opportunities to be closer to nature and to break the strenuous routine of existence in the concrete jungles. On the other side, there are farmers, whose lifestyles are also very demanding and, to a certain extent, financially unstable, seeking a chance to supplement their income with other forms of activities. Agritourism is where the needs of both groups meet up.
Zgiełk i presja życia w mieście odciskają swoje piętno na mieszkańcach wielkich aglomeracji. Zmęczeni codzienną bieganiną zaczynają szukać okazji do spędzenia czasu bliżej natury i przełamania rutyny dnia w betonowej dżungli. Z kolei na wsi rolnicy prowadzą niezwykle wymagający tryb życia z niestabilnym źródłem dochodów, dlatego szukają możliwości zarobkowania poza działalnością rolniczą. Agroturystyka to dziedzina, w której potrzeby obu grup są zaspokojone.

What’s fairly new is the trend among city‑dwellerscity‑dwellers who want to get back in touch withget back in touch with where their food comes from. The first steps in those people's journey back to nature is usually shopping in a farmers’ market or eating out in restaurants which buy their produceproduce straight from local farms. Some customers want more and they search for opportunities to pick their own fruit and vegetables directly from the places where they grow or at least go and see part of this process.
