The best place to start is where you can find the most tourist attractionstourist attractions – interesting places to visit. The more, the better! Also, you can take this opportunitytake this opportunity to find a city in which you can speak English with native speakers. So, how abouthow about London, the most famous of all European cities? I’ve decided, then!
Now is the time to find the right accommodationaccommodation – a place to stay during your visit. You may choose to stay in a hotelstay in a hotel, a B&B (Bed and Breakfast), or book a roombook a room or a flat online from a private owner. If you go with your class, don’t choose a double roomdouble room, because double rooms are for couples, as they only have one large bed to share. For you and your best friend, choose a twin roomtwin room instead. It has two separate beds.
So far so goodSo far so good. You have booked the dates, chosen the city, and the place to stay, great! Now, what kind of tourist are you? Do you like visiting historical sightshistorical sights like Buckingham Palace where Queen Elisabeth II lives? Or the mysteriousmysterious Tower of London, the iconic castle which used to be a terrible prisonprison? No? Are you more of an art lover? No problem! London offers many great museums and art galleriesart galleries. You should definitelydefinitely go to the National Gallery and admire paintings of Monet, Rembrandt and van Gogh! If you are a dinosaur fan, visit the fascinating Natural History Museum. Still a “no”? OK, so you are more of an outdoorsyoutdoorsy person who enjoys walking around and sightseeingsightseeing in the open air. No problem! If you go to Trafalgar Square you will see Admiral Nelson’s Column – one of the most famous monumentsmonuments in London. You will also be within walking distancebe within walking distance of many interesting places and wonderful parks. For example – you may walk to the Sea Life Aquarium to feed cutecute little penguins or watch sharks swimming above your head. And just behind it you will see one of the greatest attractions of London: the London Eye - Europe's tallest observation wheel.
When you would finally like to take it easytake it easy after all this walking, you can still go on one of the city toursgo on one of the city tours on a double‑decker busdouble‑decker bus. It will take you to all the iconic placesiconic places in London in one goin one go!
