Accidents That Happened to Us!1. Mike
I want to tell you about my accident which I had a few weeks ago. I was crossing the street and texting my friend. Yes, now I know that it was a mistake. I didn’t hear or see the cyclist coming. He hit me on my left shoulder, and I fellfell on the pavementpavement. I was unconsciousunconscious for a few minutes. Someone called an ambulance, and they took me to the hospital where they X‑rayedX‑rayed my shoulder. It wasn’t brokenbroken, but dislocateddislocated. I also had cuts and bruisescuts and bruises on my head because I hit the ground really hard. They put my arm in a slingsling and gave me some ointmentointment. I was in pain but still quite pleased… I didn’t have to take any tests at school for some time.

I love skiing and I usually go with my parents to Italy in winter. Two years ago, we went to this beautiful ski resort in the Italian Alps. The weather was fantastic and the snow was so smooth. I was skiing when I got a text message. I lost balancelost balance and fell. Unfortunately, I hit a stone and scratchedscratched my nose badly. It was bleedingwas bleeding, but after a few minutes it stopped, so I got up and started skiing again, but my right ankle didn’t seem right. When I got back to the hotel room, I noticed it was swollenswollen and bruisedbruised. My parents sprayedsprayed and bandagedbandaged it. My ankle was badly sprainedsprained, but at least they didn’t put my leg in a plaster castput my leg in a plaster cast at the hospital. I was really mad at the beginning because I couldn’t ski for the rest of the stay. One good thing was that I could stay in the hotel room and watch the latest TV series instead, so it was great, too!

It was a gorgeousgorgeous summer day, so I decided to go cycling. I live in a small village, so you can find a lot of beautiful country routes. After some time my nose was runnyrunny and I started sneezingsneezing. I know I’m allergic to some pollenpollen, but I take my pillspills and I’m usually OK. It was getting worse and worse, so I decided to cycle back home where I noticed that I came out in a rashcame out in a rash, especially on my arms and shoulders. I thought it was an insect biteinsect bite. I went to the pharmacypharmacy to get some creamcream, and the pharmacist advised me to do some more allergy tests. It turned out I was allergic towas allergic to some kind of plant I didn’t know about.
4. Christina
I was on holiday with my friends in France last summer. The weather was great and we had sunny days all week. I have a pale complexioncomplexion and I know I have to protect my skin with really high factor sunscreensunscreen. That day, I forgot to put the cream on my face. We were sightseeing in Paris when my skin suddenly started to itchitch and it turned redturned red, especially around my eyes and on my foreheadforehead. I had to hide quickly in the shadeshade. Fortunately, we found a small church where I could get away from the sun. I was starting to feel a little bit better, and the skin irritationirritation was going down. After all, it wasn’t so bad because we discovered this really beautiful church.
