Royal life
Life of the king isn’t easy, as you can imagine. His day isn’t all about wearing a crown or sitting on his throne. In fact, most of King Charles’s day is full of dutiesduties [duty]duties and public meetingspublic engagements [public engagement]public meetings. He rarely has time for himselfhimselfhimself and his family. But he doesn’t complain about it at all. To be honestto be honestTo be honest, he loves his duties.
The king wakes up around 9 a.m. to the sound of bagpipebagpipebagpipe music. It is played under the balcony of his bedroom. His Majesty has a bath and eats breakfast alone. He usually eats homemadehomemadehomemade bread and seasonalseasonalseasonal fruit with seeds. He doesn’t get hungry during the day because he carries his very own breakfast box with him. There are six different types of honey and his favourite muesli in the box.
After his meal, the king’s busy scheduleschedulescheduleincludesincludes [include]includes many things which he has to do. Newspapers and mail are delivereddelivered [deliver]are delivered to his room and His Majesty reads the latest news. He chooses some to answer them himself.
Next, the famous Red Box is delivered to the king's desk. It containscontains [contain]contains official letters and documents which he signssigns [sign]signs personally. He reads them carefully to get to know what is going on in his country. After that, a session of meetings with important people begins. Army members, ambassadors and politicians visit King Charles III and each meeting can’t lastlast [verb]last more than 20 minutes.
After face‑to‑face meetings, it is time for lunch, but the king usually skipsskips [skip]skips it. He takes a breaktake a breaktakes a break around 1 pm for a walk in the open. King Charles takes another break at around 5 pm and has tea, sandwiches, and cakes, usually with the Queen Consort, Camilla. He generally spends the evenings doing paperworkpaperworkpaperwork. Finally, the King has his dinner at 8.30 pm.
People say King Charles is really fussyfussyfussy. He loves to have everything in orderin orderin order. His pyjamas are pressedpressed [press]pressed every morning. The same happens with the shoelacesshoelaces [shoelace]shoelaces. The water in the bathtub has to be lukewarmlukewormlukewarm, not too hot and not too cold and also half full. And when he travels he brings his own toilet seat and toilet paper. He is the King after all!

Strona czynna to konstrukcja, której celem jest wyrażenie tego, że podmiot zdania (zwykle osoba) jest wykonawcą danej czynności, np.:
His Majesty has to sign all important documents. - Jego Wysokość musi podpisywać wszystkie ważne dokumenty.
Oznacza to, że wykonawcą tej czynności jest król i jest to dla nas kluczowe.
Natomiast w stronie biernej chcemy podkreślić samą czynność, ponieważ z jakiegoś powodu jest ona istotniejsza od wykonawcy, choć też możemy wspomnieć o jej wykonawcy, np.:
