Welcome to Sherwood ForestHave you heard of Robin Hood? He is the hero of a famous mediaevalmediaeval legend from England. He fought for justicejustice and helped poor people. Robin Hood lived in Sherwood Forest, near the town of Nottingham.
Robin Hood was poorpoor, but he was an experiencedexperienced thiefthief. He stolestole money from rich people and gave it to the poor. He just wanted to help people. His enemyenemy was The SheriffSheriff of Nottingham. He didn't like Robin’s actions, and he tried to catch him many times. But Robin Hood was very good at using his bow and arrowbow and arrow, and he always managedmanaged to escapeescape.
One day, Robin Hood met Lady Marion. She was a brave and intelligent woman. She was also a rich ladylady, but she understood Robin Hood's work. Robin saved her from the sheriff’s castle and they fell in lovefell in love. She helped him in his fight against the Sheriff of Nottingham.
Robin Hood had a band of followersfollowers, called Marry Men. There were about 150 of them and the most known was Little John. When Robin needed his people he just blew his hornhorn three times and they appeared. Together they continued to fight against the unfairunfair laws. They believed that everyone should be equalequal, and they did everything to make that happen.
Robin Hood's legend lives on today. People still remember him as a hero who fought for justice and helped the poor. Many people still visit Sherwood Forest and Nottingham to see where, as the legend says, Robin Hood lived and fought.
