Welcome to My Farm!My name is Tom and I am 10 years old. I live on a farmfarm in England. I really like living here because the airair is clean, there is a lot of spacespace and there are many interesting things to do. A farm is a place where we live and also keepkeep animals. We have a beautiful cottagecottage and some of our animals live in a barnbarn. There are many different animals on our farm. I help my parents look afterlook after them when we have school holidays. On a farm, you must wake up really early because some of the animals get up early, too, and they are hungryhungry. After breakfast, I usually give seedsseeds to the ducksducks, henshens, and chickenschickens. Then I help my Mum milk the cowsmilk the cows. Their milk is delicious!
After milking, I sometimes go with my Dad to look after pigspigs and sheepsheep. Our pigs and sheep don’t live in the barn with our horseshorses. They live outside on the fieldsfields and only move to the barn in winter. Pigs like eating all sorts ofall sorts of food but they like potatoespotatoes best. Our sheep don’t need feedingfeeding, because they eat grassgrass and other plantsplants. We don’t keep goats but our neighbourneighbour farmerfarmer, Mr Jones, does and they also like grass. Mr Jones milks his goats every day. Goat milk is delicious but I prefer cow milk. In the afternoon, I often help my parents work our fields. We don’t only keep animals. We growgrow cropscrops, vegetablesvegetables, and fruitfruit, too. We sowsow grainsgrains in spring and harvestharvest crops in summer or autumn. We also grow applesapples and pearspears. In autumn, I help my Dad pickpick the fruit and vegetables. I love living on a farm and, when I grow upgrow up, I would like to be a farmer just like my Dad.Źródło: Marcin Legeżyński, licencja: CC BY-SA 3.0.
