A – This forced me to overcome my reservations and enrol for a university course.
B – Another worry of mine was that I wouldn’t be able to cope with the heavy load of schoolwork in addition to my working hours.
C – In addition to that, being a freshman with zero college credits I had to cram really hard before all tests.
D – I found myself at the career crossroads as I realised I was screened out from getting promoted to a higher level.
E – Good time management skills and self-determination got me to my final and I graduated with top scores.
F – After all, it had been years since my last formal schooling episode and I was worried about my social and cognitive health.
What obstacles would people expect returning to education at an advanced age and how would they overcome them? Write your answer considering the following:
How could mature people apply for a course having no prior academic credits?
How could they overcome the natural problems resulting from their ageing mind and successfully compete with much younger peers?
How could they afford to finance their further education?

More and more people are deciding to return to school or university, despite their old age. Write an essay in which you give your opinion on the reasons for the decision to return to school as a mature student and advantages and disadvantages of learning at this age.
