For breakfast I would suggest eating oatmeal. It contains whole grains of oats and will keep you full for long. Alternatively, you can have two boiled eggs with a slice of whole grain bread. If you like savoury food, then for lunch you could eat miso soup, which is very healthy and has a low caloric value. Your dinner could include a veggie burger with sweet potato wedges, and a side dish salad made of fresh vegetables, accompanied by lemon water or green tea. If you snack between meals, you can do it with healthy options, such as dried fruit or whole‑wheat crackers, which do not contain as much sugar as regular cookies. For supper, it would be best to eat fresh fruit or vegetables so as not to make your stomach heavy for the night.

Dear Tom,
How have you been lately? I want to tell you about a decision I made after watching a documentary on junk food, which was a real eye‑opener for me.
I decided to give up junk food. I learnt that fast food is designed to be craveable. The most shocking fact was that it is injected with flavour extracts to make us crave it. Eating it causes tooth enamel erosion and increases the risk of a heart attack.
I decided to opt for healthy alternatives. I quit eating sugary cereals. I eat oatmeal instead. Sweet potato wedges replaced French fries. If you want, I can give you more information about healthy alternatives.
You like sweets, so you can try frozen yogurt instead of ice cream. It is healthier and less caloric. Also, try whole‑wheat crackers and banana bread instead of cookies. You will see these options are delicious, too!
I hope I inspired you to change your dietary habits. Give it a try, and you will quickly see the benefits!
