In my view, geotourism might be a very attractive alternative to those who are nature lovers. No matter if it is about going places, hiking, or staying in one place, geotourism has so much to offer. Visitors are welcome to do activities such as rock climbing or diving. They can peacefully relax or go hiking along the geotrails. Besides, our desire and determination to visit a site might result in helping local communities develop their skills as they become professional trainers for tourists, obtaining the money for further investments in the area and, most importantly, preserving their heritage. I suppose mainly adventurous and passionate people who are hungry for knowledge are ready to travel long distances to touch, feel, and smell genuine nature.

To my way of thinking,...
Geotourism is becoming more and more popular. Tourists choose their travel destinations looking for something very special. Although it seems a perfect choice for both locals and visitors, there are still some drawbacks to geotourism.
Firstly, geotourism aims at educating local people. They are aware of the wonders around them yet they lack job opportunities. With the knowledge about their heritage, the locals could create appealing tourist offers, and the tourists can learn about history.
Geotourism is a relatively new kind of tourism, which many people are very enthusiastic about. However, if the flow of a large number of visitors is not kept under control, it can simply do more harm than good. Geotourism entails training the local population to become responsible hosts of the heritage given to them. What is more, some geotourims activites can be dangerous, so tourists must learn how to enjoy them safely, too.
To sum up, geotourism is indeed a very tempting trend in travelling with its own pros and cons. To my way of thinking, it has an undeniable potential to spread swiftly around the world as long as it is introduced and carried out wisely.
