This activity is the simplest form of exercise and you don’t need any special equipmentequipmentequipment to start. A pair of good shoes is all you need. If you think it’s boring, join one of the online walking challengeschallenges [challenge]challenges. Then, you can count your stepscount stepscount your steps and explore the world with a group of friends. After downloading one of the apps, you can see different places online. France? Australia? Why not? You may get some great rewards simply by walking to school or to the shops. There’s no better hobby than sport!
But be careful! Practising sports may also have some negative effects. When you do any sport, there is always a risk of injuriesrisk of injuriesrisk of injuries. They happen often when you do contact sportscontact sports [contact sport]contact sports, like karate or football, but not only. When you work out in the gym or do aerobic activitiesaerobic activities [aerobic activity]aerobic activities, you may also have an injury. While the risk of injuries is especially high among professional athletesathletes [athlete]athletes such as footballers, boxers or hockey players, teenagers may also get hurt during sports activities if they are not careful. Young people often make a mistake and don’t get a properproper properwarm‑upwarm‑upwarm‑up before exercising. For example, you may twist your ankletwist your ankletwist your ankle or hurt your muscles. Sometimes injuries are so bad that young athletes have to stop working out for a long time.
So, when you decide to keep fitkeep fitkeep fit, regular physical activity is the best thing you can do for your health. Just remember to warm up well and start exercising when you feel ready!
