Mobile Phones of the Past and Mobile Phones TodayMobile phonesMobile phones change all the time. Your parents remember the first mobile phones, but you live in the world of smartphones. They remember heavy objectsheavy objects with buttonsbuttons. But you can have a golden phone with many applicationsapplications. Let’s look at both of them.
First, let’s look at the first mobile phones. They are quite old. They have a power buttonpower button and BluetoothBluetooth. They also have a lot of funny ringtonesringtones. They often vibratevibrate, too. But these phones don’t have big screensscreens. Instead, they have a small screen and a keyboardkeyboard.
To use this phone you have to presspress the buttonsbuttons. Those mobile phones don’t have Wi‑Fi (wireless network)Wi‑Fi (wireless network) either. To use the Internet, you have to pay a lot of money. They don’t have any apps. You can only talk and texttext.
Today, we use smartphones. Smartphones have big screens and keyboards. There are usually many different apps on the screen. There is a camera or sometimes two, so the photos are quite good.
You can do a lot of things on your smartphone. You can take photos and selfies. You can look at the photos on your social mediasocial media. You can comment on them. You can make short films. You can pay with your mobile and many more. This doesn’t work with the old phones!
TechnologyTechnology is amazing. Your parents remember the phones with buttons. For you, smartphones with apps and Wi‑Fi are normal. Are you excited to see the phones of the future? I am.
