What We Do at the Shopping MallMy name is Lily and I love going shopping! Each Saturday, my friends and I go to the shopping mallshopping mall. We start with clothes. There are quite a few clothing options in our mall, some of them inside a nice department storedepartment store, so we always spend a lot of time checking outchecking out clothes. While we mostly look around for women’s wearwomen’s wear, we visit the men’s and children’s sections, too. Some of the men’s wearmen’s wear can be worn by anyone. After all, who doesn’t like T‑shirts with funny logos? The children’s wearchildren’s wear is good for accessoriesaccessories. There are so many cute headbandsheadbands, hair clipshair clips, and hairbandshairbands! After that, we go to the chemistchemist. We don’t really wear make‑up, but we love painting our nails, so we always look forlook for pretty nail polishesnail polishes. The salesmansalesman there is always very kind and helpful.
Then we take a short break at the food courtfood court. One of the restaurants sells pizza by the sliceby the slice. Each of us gets a slice, and then we order tea at the coffee shopcoffee shop. Sometimes, when we’re less hungry, we don’t buy pizza. We get something small at the bakerybakery. Once we finish at the food court, we continue with shopping. We always go to the electronics shopelectronics shop. Of course, we don’t buy any appliancesappliances - they are so expensive! We just want to have a look at video games or buy new earphones. Next, we go to the toy shop. We’re a bit too old to buy toys, but a lot of toy shopstoy shops sell board gamesboard games and that’s what we’re interested in. We always look for something to play during game nights. We also stop by the mall kioskmall kiosk. They sell everything from jewelleryjewellery to potterypottery, so it’s interesting to see what’s being offered.
There are a few shops in the mall that we hardly ever visit. For example, we don’t have any reason to visit the pharmacypharmacy or the hair salonhair salon. If we want to have our hair done, we usually take our mums with us. There is also an exchange officeexchange office in the shopping mall. We don’t need to visit it, but there are people who need currency exchangecurrency exchange. The mall has also got a laundromatlaundromat. A lot of people use it to do their laundry, but we’ve all got washing machines at home. Sometimes when my dad needs to fix his clothes, he visits a tailortailor. There is one tailor boothbooth in our shopping mall. We rarely visit the floristflorist, either. Usually, we only go there if it’s someone’s birthday. That’s when we spend some time picking flowers. However, we always try to visit the office suppliesoffice supplies shop. There are so many nice things! They’re rather cheap too, so we can buy them if we want to have something new.
We return home in the late afternoon. We usually leave the shopping mall empty‑handedempty‑handed, but it’s all right. We don’t really care about buying things. We just like window shoppingwindow shopping together.
