Highlight the words and phrases connected with being happy in yellow and those that refer to being unhappy in blue. Nowadays people find it hard to enjoy life. They are so busy and the pace of life is so fast that they don’t notice the things that really matter. It’s when they hit rock bottom that they realize they shouldn’t take things for granted. So what to do to actually start living a life? The French invented the concept of joie de vivre which assumes taking pleasure from the little things. We should be cheerful and derive satisfaction from simple activities like a meaningful conversation with another person, having a tasty meal in the company of a family or close friends, or developing our hobby. So whenever you feel down in the dumps, think if it results from a serious problem or if it is due to the fact that you don’t appreciate what you really have. If it’s the former, perhaps it’s time you consulted a specialist and talked things through because feeling blue all the time isn’t a way to go. But you may also discover that what seems to be a major obstacle is quite insignificant and there are only some little improvements that you need to make in order to feel over the moon more often than not.
