The Story of an Amazing Friendship
The Story of an Amazing FriendshipA long time ago, on a farm in England, there lived a teenage boy, Albert. One day, a young horse Joey arrived at the farm. Joey was afraidwas afraid of everybody on the farm, but he liked Albert. The horse and the boy were very similarsimilar. They played together and they quickly became close friendsclose friends.
Unfortunately, Albert’s father sold the horse to the armyarmy and Joey had to leaveleave the farm. He became a riding horseriding horse for soldierssoldiers in the First World WarFirst World War. At first, a British soldier named Warren was Joey's riderrider. After Warren died in battledied in battle, German soldiers used Joey for taking the injuredinjured men to hospital.
Next, Joey lived with a French farmer and his granddaughter Emily. He helped them with different jobs at the farm. He was very helpfulhelpful. They loved Joey very much, but unfortunately the German army needed the horse again. So Joey went to war again and was injured. When the war ended, he went to a British hospital for animals.
One day, a young vetvet came to see him. BelieveBelieve it or not, it was Albert! All those years he wanted to find Joey and looked forlooked for the horse. Albert was friendlyfriendly and loyalloyal and looked afterlooked after Joey. When the horse was better, they moved back to England. Albert got marriedgot married and started his own family. And Joey stayed with Albert all his life. This was a realreal friendshipfriendship.
