Once upon a time there was a big red dragon. He was very scary. One day he came to a city .The city’s name was Kiev.
The dragon was always hungry. He wanted to eat a boy or a girl every year.
There was a prince in Kiev. The prince had a daughter. The princess was very beautiful.
One day the dragon saw the princess. He looked at her and he was in love. The dragon loved the princess. But the princess didn’t love the dragon.
She went with the dragon and she lived with him. But she was not happy.
One day she asked the dragon: “Are you afraid of any people, Mr Dragon?” The dragon loved the princess so he said, “Yes, my beautiful princess. There is one man. He lives in the city of Kiev. His name is Kyrylo. He is very strong. He’s got a mace. I’m afraid of him.”
The princess smiled. She was very clever. She sent a dove to the prince. The dove flew to her father with a message.
“Father, find a man Kyrylo. He lives in Kiev. He’s strong. He’s got a mace. The dragon is afraid of him. He can fight the dragon. Father, please be nice to Kyrylo. You can give him presents, too.”
The old people visited Kyrylo and asked him to help the princess. But Kyrylo said “NO!”
Then young people visited him and asked to help the princess. But Kyrylo said “NO!”
So children visited him and asked to help the princess. Then Kyrylo said “Yes, I can do it.”
Kyrylo took his mace and went to the dragon. And the fight started. The earth was shaking when the scary dragon and brave Kyrylo fought. Kyrylo was very strong. The dragon was tired.
The dragon was really tired. Then Kyrylo killed the dragon.
The brave Kyrylo won. The princess was free. The prince and people of Kiev were very happy. And they all lived happily ever after.
