moduł 48.1, The basic material used in the production of leather products are tanned leathers. We divide tanned leathers into hard and soft leathers. Because of their properties hard leathers can be used in production of footwear soles and special bags. Soft skins are used in the production of clothes, goods and footwear, for example: coats, trousers, purses, bags and gloves. A good choice of leather for a product is important for the properties the product will have. Can you imagine walking in trousers made of hard leather?

The boss of a workshop producing leather and imitation leather products informs the employees about a new laboratory testing the properties of materials and half‑finished products.
