• You convert the common fraction to the decimal fraction by dividing the numerator of the fraction by its denominator.

• You use English to convert the common fraction to the decimal fraction.

Today you are going to develop your ability in converting the common fractions to the decimal ones.

Some of the common fractioncommon fractioncommon fraction can be easily converted in the decimal fractiondecimal fractiondecimal fraction, for example these whose denominators are of 10, 100, 1000, … etc.

Example:

$\frac{3}{10}=\mathrm{0,3}$

$\frac{12}{100}=\mathrm{0,12}$

$\frac{234}{1000}=\mathrm{0,234}$

Analyse the presented examples and draw the conclusion:

$\frac{2}{5}=\frac{4}{10}=\mathrm{0,4}$

$\frac{3}{20}=\frac{15}{100}=\mathrm{0,15}$

$\frac{5}{8}=\frac{625}{1000}=\mathrm{0,625}$

$7\frac{3}{100}=\mathrm{7,03}$

$6\frac{4}{125}=6\frac{32}{1000}=\mathrm{6,032}$

Conclusion:

The fractions whose denominators in factorization into primes have the prime numbers of 2 and 5 can be extended to the denominators of 10, 100, 1000 … etc. and then written down in a form of decimal fractiondecimal fractiondecimal fraction.
