Lesson plan overview
Before classes
Students get acquainted with the content of the abstract. They prepare to work on the lesson in such a way to be able to summarize the material read in their own words and solve the tasks themselves.
Introduction
The teacher explains the aim of the lesson and together with students determines the success criteria to be achieved.
Realization
The teacher gives students a survey about saving electricity at home. Explains to the students the principles of constructing the questionnaire.
The teacher divides the class into groups of 4‑5 people. Each team, after familiarizing themselves with the content of the abstract and the drillmap, prepares a list of questions for the interview. The students present a list of questions in front of the teacher..
Then the teacher creates new teams, choosing one person from the previous teams. 4‑5-person teams are also created. Each team member interviews a new group using questions developed by his team. The interviewer makes notes. After the interview, there is a return to groups and information about the survey questions. Groups with the help of the teacher make corrections..
Work of the whole class team. Students stand in a circle. The teacher encourages them to play: throws a ball or mascot to one of the students, saying the English word or notion learned in the lesson. The student gives the Polish equivalent, mentions another word in English and throws a ball or mascot to a friend or colleague.

Methods for saving electricity
Saving electricity is extremely important primarily from the perspective of environmental protection. Keep in mind that you’re one out of hundreds of thousands of people who need electricity. Therefore, it’s necessary to ensure that there’s enough electricity for everyone. When you save electricity, there’s no need to generate it in increasingly larger volumes, thus leading to lesser pollution of our environment. Lower power consumption leads to lower electricity bills, which means that you’re saving both money and electricity. There are many ways to save electricity. For instance, you can use energy‑saving light bulbs. You also should unplug your devices, so that they don’t remain in idle mode and take proper care of your household appliances.
Skillful use of electric devices allows to save electricity.
Saving electricity requires changing daily habits.
Saving electricity brings benefits in the form of lower pollution, reduced human impact on the environment and – for families – lower electricity bills.
