Introduction

The teacher gives the subject and the purpose of the lesson in a language that the student understands as well as the criteria for success.

Realization

  1. The teacher asks selected students to complete exercise No. 2 on the interactive whiteboard.

  2. Students justify correct answers.

  3. The lecturer shows the two fruits: one fully ripe, the other unripe. The teacher asks students to show the differences between them.

  4. The teacher instructs students to refer to their observations made during fruit observation and by analogy define the concept of sexual maturity. Students present their suggestions, the teacher complements them and corrects possible mistakes.

  5. Students create small groups. They get acquainted with the content of the abstract and analyze the interactive illustration. Then, based on them and based on other available sources (eg the Internet), they prepare a table showing physical and mental changes accompanying the period of puberty. After the time set by the teacher, the results are then presented by group representatives.

  6. Students independently perform interactive exercise No. 1.

What is puberty?

Puberty it is a transition period between childhood and adulthood. It lasts for several years and for children can take sometime to get used to the changes taking place in their bodies. During puberty, the ovaries and testes begin to produce eggs and sperm. The girl's body is transformed into a woman's body and the boy's body into a man's body. Pubic and underarm hair also appear.
In the period of puberty, the generation of sweat increases and it also becomes more oily. Under the influence of bacterial activity, the sweat breaks down, which unfortunately results in an unpleasant odor. Increased sweating also contributes to the deterioration of the condition of the skin, i.e. the formation of pimples and greasy hair. That's why you need to take care of hygiene more than usual during puberty.Regularly shower or bathe and regularly wash your hair. It is worth using a deodorant that reduces sweating and masks the unpleasant smell of sweat. The appropriate dress is also important. Wearing loose clothing made of natural fibers allows the skin to breathe.

During puberty, behavior also changes. Teens experience intense emotions and intense feelings. During this time, young people usually make lasting friendships, but they are also very sensitive, often argue, sometimes for no particular reason.

  • The period of puberty is the time when the human body reaches sexual maturity.

  • During puberty, many changes take place in the bodies of girls and boys (eg bones grow rapidly, pubic hair appears, sweat develops).

  • An adult person is characterized by sexual, psychological and social maturity.
