Every students brings the set of cards which he has prepared at home. On each card there is only one number: -9, -8, -7, -6, -5, -4, -3, -2, -1, 1, 2, 3,4, 5, 6, 7, 8 or 9.

The teacher introduces the topic of the lesson: developing the skills of doing operations with the integers.

First, the students discuss the operations which can be done with the natural numbers and the order of these operations. Next, they point out the operation which can be done in the set of integers , and could not be always done in a set of natural numbers.

The students work individually using their computers. They are going to revise the order of the operations with the integers, in particular the specifying of the sign of the final result. 

The students work in pairs. Each student draws one card of the set of cards which were prepared for the lesson. Using the numbers they have got they do the sum, the difference, the product and the quotient (if its result is the integerintegerinteger).They compare the results and repeat the activity for few times.

The students do the operations with the integers.
