If you ask me, the best advancement in military technology is definitely virtual reality. We use it in flying or combat training. It creates artificial experiences which we can then recreate in real military operations. They also supplement traditional instruction and mission rehearsal, enhancing troops' and units' readiness on the battlefield. In addition to providing training opportunities, augmented reality improves the mission effectiveness of troops. Soldiers can access mapping data, movement markers, and other information through AR headsets. I find it really useful both as a tool to practice and in real life situations.

I’m a commander and I’m responsible for my troops. That’s why I would say that for military operations, accurate and timely information is essential. The military can make real‑time decisions faster thanks to 5G’s quick speed. New command‑and‑control applications are made possible by this, and logistics are made easier. Additionally, 5G networks make it possible to transmit enormous volumes of data to remote sensors and weaponry into battlefield networks. This improves training and battlefield skills and offers immediate situational awareness.

I’m fairly new to the military forces, so everything seems new to me. If I had to choose, I would probably go for drones. We’ve been using them for some time now and everyone loves them. You can operate them from any place eg. sea, land, and from stationary or mobile platforms. They are super easy to operate and require minimal training. I was actually quite surprised because I thought it would take me weeks to be able to operate one. We use drones mainly for reconaissance and surveillance purposes, but I know that you can also equip them with missiles and bombs.

Before I joined the army, I was an IT specialist. Since I became a soldier, I’ve been involved in providing data security in all the systems that are used by our troops. Cyber attacks frequently target military systems, which might possibly result in the loss of sensitive data and harm to such systems. Unfortunately, the frequency and severity of cyberattacks have increased over the past few years, which means that I’ve been really busy recently. But, thanks to advanced cyberwarfare we can identify possible threats and neutralise them before they have an influence on defensive cyber warfare capabilities.

As a soldier you need to be fit and train hard. However, it’s really useful when you can boost your performance with the use of a so‑called exoskeleton. It was created to increase strength, endurance, and ergonomics while ensuring user safety and lowering the risk of physical harm during various military activities. We use exoskeletons to help us maintain peak performance. I must admit I sometimes feel like a character from Avengers sometimes when I wear it. Not only does it boost my physical power, but also my confidence. I love it!
