1. Why were the Pilgrims grateful? When they came from Europe to the United States, they did not know how to grow food. Native Americans helped them with it. As a result, in 1621 they harvested a lot of food. 

2. Thanksgiving is an opportunity to get together as a family. It doesn't matter if you're visiting your family, getting together with a big group, or staying at home with your loved ones. The important thing is to find time to talk and express gratitude.

3. It takes a long time to prepare, but a roast turkey is a must at Thanksgiving dinner. It should be in the oven for 3.5 hours! It goes with turkey stuffing made of bread, butter, onion, celery, chicken broth, eggs, and spices.

4. It’s very easy to prepare, because you need only pan drippings, some butter, flour, and herbs. It takes a maximum of 10 minutes to prepare and it goes well with the turkey.

5. What do you need to make perfect mashed potatoes? Garlic, milk, cream cheese, butter, salt, and of course, potatoes. You can make them in 45 minutes.

6. You can make a salad or a casserole. Whatever you do, green beans are healthy and tasty.

7. Corn was a crop that was planted in the 17th century by the Pilgrims, and it was harvested before Thanksgiving. 

8. People believe that the Pilgrims and the Native Americans ate cranberries during their feast in 1621. 

9. The Native Americans brought pumpkins as gifts to the Pilgrims, and taught them how to eat pumpkins. 

10. The most popular one is the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. It’s in New York City, presented by the popular department store: Macy’s. It lasts for three hours and can be watched on TV from 9 a.m. to noon.
