Pros and Cons of Train TravelThere are many pros and cons of travelling by train. How about looking at why some people choose trains over other means of transport and why others prefer travelling in the comfort of their cars.
Let us look first at the benefits of travelling by train. You don’t get stressed in traffic jamstraffic jams and trains are fast and comfortable. You can just sit backsit back, relax and watch the world go by. You may enjoy many beautiful views and meet a lot of friendly people on the train. You can work, read, listen to music, or you can have a drink or a snack in the buffet carbuffet car. We also have to remember that travelling by train is the most environmentally friendlyenvironmentally friendly means of transport.
On the other hand, there are also some minuses of this way of travelling. In contrast to the car, your train doesn’t stop anywhere you want to. It may be expensive and the trains are sometimes crowdedcrowded and delayed. Always check the timetabletimetable because the arrivalarrival and departuredeparture times might be changing. You may buy your ticket online in advancein advance, however, if you don’t, you have to get to the station in timein time to buy one in the ticket officeticket office and then find the right platformplatform. If you oversleepoversleep, the train will not wait and will leave without you. When you get on the train, make sure that you have the train ticket with you at all times in case of ticket inspectionticket inspection.
