Steve: Hi, Dan. What are you doing?
Dan: I’m looking for a summer job to make some extra money during the holidays. We have three months of holiday so it’s a good idea to get a job.
Steve: Hmmm… Let me see... What have we got here... A bartender – that sounds great! You can meet a lot of friendly people and make lots of extra money from their tips!
Dan: I’m not sure. You have to work evenings and nights.
Steve: How about this one? A fruit picker in France. You don’t have to work at night, you get a lot of sunshine all day long!
Dan: Yes, but it is so hard and tiring.
Steve: So what kind of job are you interested in?
Dan: Something less tiring, I guess.
Steve: Oh, here’s the one that you might like: a game tester! I know that you are crazy about computer games, so you can play games and earn money at the same time!
Dan: Wow, that sounds like a dream come true! Thanks for finding this offer. I’ll contact them as soon as possible.

The most unattractive job, in my opinion, is… because…
The most interesting job, in my opinion, is... because...
In the future, I would like to be/I would like to work as... because
In my opinion, the most unattractive job is a teacher because it’s a badly‑paid profession which requires you to do a lot of responsible work. You have to pass your knowledge to all students, even the most stubborn ones, and you can never lose your patience.
In my opinion an IT specialist is an example of one of the most attractive jobs nowadays. You can work from home and you have flexible working hours. If you work for a big corporation, the pay is excellent.
In the future I would like to be a lawyer because this job is fascinating. You can help people when they have a problem with the law but you can also do a lot of good for those who are in need. For example, you can work for important organisations such as Amnesty International whose aim is the focus on human rights.

Claire,
You’ll never believe what’s happened! I got a job in a local beach club and I’m so happy! I was looking for work online but my dad’s friend, who is a manager in a beach club, offered me a job there.
It isn’t difficult but it is tiring. I have to clean tables and chairs in a restaurant and prepare beach chairs for the club’s members and bring them fresh towels.
The pay isn’t excellent but my boss offered me a good benefit package, I get tips and a free meal and coffee every day. I have flexible working hours.
By the way, I really think you should take up a summer job. It may help you in the future. You can get some job experience before you apply for real work.
