In the future, I would like to build my own house, because in this way, it would be exactly as I want it to be. For me, one of the most important factors would be its durability, because I would like my house to last for many years, so that the next generations of my family could also use it. That’s why I would make sure that the building materials, such as mortar or planks, are of the best quality. Another thing which I would take into consideration would be the place where the house would be built. I would like to have large windows overlooking, for example, a river or mountains. As I care about the environment, I would also like my house to merge with nature around it, so I would concentrate on using natural materials in their raw form, so that my house blends with the surroundings. My future house doesn’t have to have distinctive features like arched ceilings or elevated floors, but it needs to be comfortable and compatible with my character.

Dear John,
How are you doing?
I’m sorry I haven’t written for such a long time, but I’ve been busy with my project about styles in architecture.
Last week, however, I went on a school trip to a small town in the south of the country. We visited the Upside Down House, which I enjoyed! Everything there is upside down: the furniture, the stairs, even the carpet! The walls are also angled, so it wasn’t easy to keep your balance while walking inside.
I had the best time there! It was the strangest feeling to start sightseeing the property from the first floor and then go upstairs to see the ground floor. But the best part was when they took photos of us as if we were its inhabitants. The pictures looked incredible!
How about going there when you come to visit me in summer? We could pretend that we are hanging from the ceiling! I hope you like this idea, let me know!
