I would like to travel to the UK on a ferry because the views can be spectacular and there are many interesting things to do on a ferry. Most people don’t complain of seasickness even though the waters can be rough. The most attractive part are duty‑free shops, where prices are much lower than on land.
I was surprised that passengers are not allowed to stay in their cars during the crossing, because some journeys are quite short and people might not have enough time to visit all the parts of the vessel. Also, having to pay extra for a cabin seems quite strange too, as passengers must pay for tickets anyway. The most surprising fact is that not all ferries feature lifeboats.

Dear Mr Jones,
I would like to share with you a report from an amazing journey I took recently. My family and I made a booking for a cruise to Portugal! We chose a vessel called “Verona,” which sails from Gdańsk to Lisbon twice a year. The journey took us 10 days.
At first, I was not sure whether sea travelling would suit my preferences, as I tend to suffer from seasickness quite easily. Fortunately, waters were quite calm and the vessel was so large and had so many passenger decks, that I had the impression of being in a small town rather than on a ship. The cabins were clean and cosy. Most travellers were busy using commodities such as restaurants and casinos on board, but I enjoyed watching beautiful sunsets over the sea.
I would sincerely encourage you to try going on a sea journey one day. People often choose flying to save on time and to be able to spend more time at their destination. However, I think a sea crossing can be a great adventure in itself. It is not very risky, either, as ships carry much safety equipment, such as life jackets and lifeboats. I would appreciate your opinion on the possibility of organising a sea journey for our class at some point in the future.
