II. My favourite food is a toast with avocado on it. I make my own bread to which I add a lot of oats because I like the flavour. I eat it with hummus made of chickpeas and I add olive oil to that to boost the taste. I’m British so I always pour some milk or plant milk into my tea.
III. I live for salads, don’t get me wrong, I eat corn and peas and all this stuff but fresh vegetables are my thing especially when I add oranges to them. They combine well with lettuce and peppers. Occasionally, I have an egg but more often than not I substitute it with tofu scramble because I’m trying to become a proper vegan.
IV. The moment I got to know seitan, I fell in love with it. I often go to this vegan place which serves burgers with it. They serve it with a portion of fries made of sweet potatoes. The roll is sprinkled with flax seeds, which gives the dish some crunch. And in the burger there’s raspberry sauce and onions and cheese. I simply love it.
V. My mum makes perfect oyster mushroom chops. She prepares a pancake batter – you know, a mixture of flour, soya milk and eggs, and dips the mushrooms in it, and fries them on a pan. She puts that on a plate with a dip made of yoghurt to which she adds some plums. No one can resist that!
