The following description explains the method of constructing the altitudealtitudealtitude of the parallelogramparallelogramparallelogram.
The altitudealtitudealtitude of the parallelogramparallelogramparallelogram can be drawn by using the perpendicularperpendicularperpendicular arms of a set squaresquaresquare. One armarmarm should cover the longer sidesideside of the parallelogram, the other has to intersect the sidesideside that is parallel to it. Sometimes the altitudes of the parallelogramparallelogramparallelogram are situated outside it. In such cases the sides should be extended.
