Prepare for the lesson „the banknotes” and „the coins”:
10 smaller and 10 larger cards (as „banknotes”) cut out of the paper. He writes “10 PLN” on the smaller cards and “100 PLN”on the larger ones;
10 circles cut out of the paper as the coins. They write “1 PLN” on each of them.
Prepare also the sheet of paper with the list of numbers:

And the set of cards with the following amounts on each of them:
97 PLN, 79 PLN, 425 PLN, 245 PLN, 452 PLN, 703 PLN, 730 PLN, 307 PLN, 370 PLN or 288 PLN.
Revise how we call the symbols used to write down the numbers and how many Arabic numerals are used in our numeral system.
Today you are going to discover the method of writing down the natural numbers in a form of the sum and identify the position of the digit in the number.
Use the sets of the amountamount prepared for the lesson “the banknotes “ and “the coins”. Draw the card with the amount written on it, read it aloud and pay the sum by giving the appropriate number of coins and banknotes. Write the amount of money in the form of the sum.

Notice that in the number 682. The digit 6 is called the hundreds digit, digit 8 is called the tens digit and digit 2 is called the units digit.
