Every student prepares 10 cards for the lesson. Each card has got one number of the following: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9.

Teacher prepares the calculator and the set of eleven cards for each pair of the students . There is one of the following inscription on each of them:

- The number 23_6 is divisible by 9.
- The number 1045_ is divisible by 9.
- The number 908_11 is divisible by 9.
- The number 8_99 is divisible by 9.
- The number 556_7 is divisible by 9.
- The number 543_02 is divisible by 3.
- The number 7_682 is divisible by 3.
- The number 12_4 is divisible by 3.
- The number 1_988 is divisible by 3.
- The number 2055_4 is divisible by 3.
- The number 7_9123 is divisible by 3.

The students revise the divisibility rules by 2, 5, 10, 100.

Task 1

The students work in pairs using their calculators. They are going to check if the following : 35683; 4683; 3556; 9306; 1249; 25029; 44787; 5682 are divisable by 3.

Discussion: Does the divisibility by three depend on the digit placed in the units digitunits digitunits digit?

The students draw the conclusion: the divisibility by three doesn’t depend on the digit placed in the units digit.

Task 2

The students work individually using their computers. They are going to analyse the slideshow concerning the divisibility ruledivisibility ruledivisibility rule by three.

Task 5

The students work in pairs using their calculators. They check if the following numbers: 35689; 4689; 99999; 9108; 884556; 20025; 44100; 5682 are divisible by 9.

Task 8

Learning game. The teacher gives the cards to each pair of the students . the students take turns to draw the cards. They are going to take out the card with the digit which fills the gap of the drawn card. The student who chooses the correct digit takes the card away. The winner is the person who collects more cards.

An extra task:

Find out on the Internet the information about the divisibility by 6, 15 and 18. Check, if the numbers 24564; 123405; 54108; 25915; 105636 are divisible by 6, 15, 18.
