Logarithm of a positive number

Definition: Logarithm of a positive number

LogarithmlogarithmLogarithm of a positive number $c$ with a positive and different from 1 base $a$ is the exponent $b$ to which must be raised to produce $c$ . We write: $\log_{a} c = b$ if and only if $a^{b} = c$ .
The number $c$ is called a logarithmic number.

By definition, it appears that:

$\log_{a} a^{c} = c$
$a^{\log_{a} c} = c$
$\log_{a} 1 = 0$
$\log_{a} a = 1$
