The subject of this project is to prepare a leafletleafletleaflet about animals living in your area. Look for information on the subject on the Internet, at the library or at the tourist information point. Collect photographic material - it can be photos from the Internet, printed photos or photos made by you.

• Search for information about animals that live in your area. Take advantage of Open Educational Resources. Archive photos and text information. Do not forget to write down from which sources you have obtained the information.

• If you have photos of animals in printed form, scan them.

• If you take pictures yourself, do not forget about the rules of composition.

• In the graphic programme, process the photos you have taken, i.e. adjust their size, crop according to the rules of composition, and improve contrast, brightness and colours. Highlight the most important details of these photos.

• In the text editing programme, prepare the text that you will write on the leafletleafletleaflet. At this stage of work, focus on its content, not on formatting.

• Collect a few leaflets, look at how they are formatted, i.e. what is the layout of the text, what is the size of the fonts, how the photos are placed, and the colours chosen. Think about what appeals to you as a recipient on these leaflets, and what you would like to change.

To complete the project, you need:

• scannerscannerscanner,

• image recording device (camera, tablet or smartphone),

• computer workplace equipped with raster graphic processing programme, a text editor, spreadsheet and giving the possibility of searching information in online resources,

• a colour printer.

Before you start working with a computer, use a pencil and a paper to sketch a schematic division of space. Think about where you can place photos, title, and text.

In the text editing programme:

• choose the orientation of the pagepagepage,

• divide the document into columns, or insert text boxes,

• insert graphic elements - put the source of their origin under the photos (in case of your own photos, you can label them with the phrase „own photograph”),

• insert the text and format it appropriately,

• insert the title of the leafletleafletleaflet,

• choose the background of the document,

• save the leaflet in PDF format,

• print it, properly choosing the printing parameters.

When creating a leaflet, remember the basic rules:

• select a legiblelegiblelegible font type,

• use contrasting colours, especially in longer texts

• do not use too many types of fonts on one leafletleafletleaflet,

• use text highlighting with moderation

• write correctlycorrectlycorrectly, in accordance with grammatical and spelling rules.

Get ready to present your work. Practice the presentation in front of the mirror or someone from your house. Hold on to the allotted time. Ensure that all necessary devices are connected to the computer before you present it in the classroom.
