When we want to celebrate an important event, we can organise a party. There is no good party without family, friends and tasty food. But do you know the right way to set a table? Watch Tom's tutorial and learn how to do this.

Setting the table is easy. Here is everything you need to set your party table: a vase with fresh flowers, a tablecloth, a napkin, a plate, a dinner fork, a salad fork, a dinner knife, a salad knife, a spoon, a dessert spoon, a cake fork and a water glass.

First, you put the tablecloth on the table. The table looks better, and the forks, knives and spoons aren't directly on the table. In the middle of the table, put a vase with fresh flowers. They always make the table look more attractive.

You start with the plate. You put the dinner knife on the right side of the plate and the dinner fork on the left side. It’s easy to remember because many people use forks with their left hand and knives with their right hands.

A good thing to remember is that you always put the utensils for the starters, like salad, on the outside. Then, the main course on the inside. So next to the dinner knife you put the salad knife, and next to the dinner fork you put the salad fork. The salad comes before the main course. When we plan to have soup, the soup spoon goes outside the knives because it goes first, before the main course.

The spoon that you use for dessert goes above the plate. The handle of the spoon points to the right. It is the same with a cake fork if you are going to have cake for dessert. The dessert fork with its handle to the left goes under the dessert spoon. Don’t forget to put the water glass in the top right corner!

And finally, the napkin goes to the left of the forks.

To make your party table more attractive, you can fold the napkin into a nice shape and put it on the plate.

It looks good and there is more space on the table.

Now, put the plates for other quests the same way and your party table is ready!
