First of all…, It should be…, It might be…, We must prioritise…, The other solution that I find…, As I see it…This way…
First of all, if a place is being damaged by tourists, and animals and plants suffer from irresponsible acts, it should be closed to the public. The closure might be temporary or permanent. People can do without seeing some places in person, so we must prioritise such issues as the preserving of the natural environment. The other solution that I find reasonable is introducing a ban on swimming or doing different activities in some places like it was done in Maya Bay. People simply can’t do certain things in some places and they need to understand that.

Hi everybody, I haven’t written for a while, but today today there is something I really want to share with you guys. Recently, I have read an article about overtourism and realised I know very little about it. Overtourism means that some places are visited by excessive numbers of tourists, which has negative impact on the people and ecosystems in those areas.
As low‑cost airlines have attractive offers, people decide to take advantage of it. Moreover, the internet makes it possible to find cheap accommodation everywhere in the world.
All that glitters is not gold, though. Tourists often negatively impact the environment by littering, or wandering in areas where it is forbidden. Locals complain that the excess of tourists takes away from the unique character of a place. The worst thing is that tourists damage the environment by polluting waters with the lotions that they apply before getting into the water.
So, do you have any experiences related to overtourism that you can share? Please, describe it, I can’t wait to read it!
